چکیده

Identifying key ecological nodes/corridors and priority restoration areas (KENPRA) is the link for optimizing land use security patterns (ESPs). However, few studies have considered future use/cover change (LUCC) urban sprawl in identifying KENPRA ESP maintenance. To optimize KENPRA, we took Quanjiao County, Anhui Province, China as a case study area, typical unit Chinese Land Spatial Planning suburb of Yangtze River Delta agglomeration challenging LUCC pattern A comprehensive framework has been established by integrating conflict (LUC) to adapt corresponding urbanization processes. CA-Markov model was used predict under different KENPRA-based scenarios 2030. The results found that total area 4,357.2 ha 17 nodes which were approximately 50% concentrated intensive LUC areas. result simulation showed indicated less expansion better effectiveness maintaining ESPs findings proposed provide new important information implications planners policymakers understand improve planning/policy; also can understanding coupled human–nature system linking LUCC, ecosystem services, planning.

Cultivated Land Change Analysis of Yangtze River Delta Region

This Paper uses MODIS data to monitor and evaluate cultivated land changes in Yangtze River Delta region. Firstly, In order to validate the veracity of the classification results by MODIS, Hangzhou city is selected as the experimental area, Spot5 and Landsat scenes in 2001 and 2005 are collected and used to conduct initial validation exercises to assess the quality of land use classification re...

Urban Land Expansion and Structural Change in the Yangtze River Delta, China

Urban development in China has attracted considerable scholarly attention. However, more work is still needed to examine and understand the mechanisms of urban land expansion, especially within the context of globalization/marketization, decentralization and urbanization. This paper analyzes urban land expansion and structural changes in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD). We find that cities in the...

Sustainable Urban Development and Land Use Change—A Case Study of the Yangtze River Delta in China

This paper introduces a sustainability assessment method for the rapidly urbanizing Yangtze River Delta in China addressing the role of land use pattern. We first calculated the sustainability component scores of 16 cities in the area in 2000 and 2005. The results showed that socioeconomic and environmental conditions improved while the performance of resource-use degraded from 2000 to 2005. We...

Analysis of relationships between land surface temperature and land use changes in the Yellow River Delta

This study analyzed land use and land cover changes and their impact on land surface temperature using Landsat 5 Thematic Mapper and Landsat 8 Operational Land Imager and Thermal Infrared Sensor imagery of the Yellow River Delta. Six Landsat images comprising two time series were used to calculate the land surface temperature and correlated vegetation indices. The Yellow River Delta area has ex...

Socio-economic driving forces of land-use change in Kunshan, the Yangtze River Delta economic area of China.

This paper analyzes characteristics, major driving forces and alternative management measures of land-use change in Kunshan, Jiangsu province, China. The study used remote sensing (RS) maps and socio-economic data. Based on RS-derived maps, two change matrices were constructed for detecting land-use change between 1987 and 1994, and between 1994 and 2000 through pixel-to-pixel comparisons. The ...
